Description:
5'10 G&S Twin Fin, The First G&S Twin Fin Design

Considering it's 40 years old, this board is in really good condition. You will never see one of these again. The board is about as thick as a longboard, and with that wide square tail, it has an interesting ride. It catches waves easily. Riding it feels kind of like you're noseriding a longboard. Very cruisy... A few years ago, I emailed the G&S office to get some info on this board. Larry Gordon himself wrote back to tell me about it. He said that it was their first twinfin design, shaped in the late 60s and early 1970s. The board has had a few small dings over its lifetime.

Description:
Vintage Gordon and Smith Surfboard from 1970s
5'10 high
Condition - 8.5
Twin fin

An old 5'10 G&S fish. The number on the board is 08847, i know that does not mean to much but i have talked to some guys that worked for G&S back in that day and they think that it might have been shaped by Hoy Runnels in the early 70's probably 73. I dont know the name of the fin system but they are original fin boxes with no screws or anything, apparently if you just it them from the back the fins will pop out but i have never been willing to try. the fins are original as well, they are clear lexsand fins that are rather flexible and when you make a hard turn on the board you can even hear the fins creaking. The rest of the board is in rather good shape just a few repairs have been done by somebody from back in the day.

Attention: With many surfboards from the 60s and 70s selling for $1,000 - $10,000 or more.  Vintage surfboards are a great investment.  Being 2009, anything 25 years or older is now an antique. Boards older than 1983 are skyrocketing in value.  Do you know what’s happening? 80's boards are now collector’s items, not used boards for sale.
